Telavi Amber Cellars
Telavi Amber Cellars has built its reputation on a single conviction: that extended skin contact in qvevri produces wines of structure and patience that nowhere else can replicate. The cellar holds an unusually deep library of amber vintages, and guided verticals here trace how Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane evolve across ten, twenty and thirty years underground and in bottle. The tasting room is deliberately spare — stone, oak, low light — so that the wine carries the conversation. Winemakers lead every session personally, and the cellar has become a fixture on the itineraries of sommeliers, importers and Masters of Wine studying the qvevri tradition at depth.
This venue is available through certified itineraries. Travel professionals can request rates and availability via the partner programme.
