Sighnaghi Terrace Marani
Few tasting rooms in Georgia hold a view like this one: from the terrace of this family marani on the edge of Sighnaghi, the Alazani valley runs unbroken to the wall of the Greater Caucasus. The family farms small parcels of Saperavi and Rkatsiteli below the town and makes wine in a cellar that has served three generations, with qvevri alongside a handful of old oak casks. Visits are unhurried by design — a cellar walk, a tasting of five or six wines, and time at the terrace table as the light moves across the valley. In autumn, guests can join the family's own harvest days.
