Mestia Mountain Lodge
Mestia is the natural base for Svaneti's celebrated walking — above all the multi-day route east to Ushguli, Europe's highest continuously inhabited village, beneath the wall of Shkhara. The lodge pairs that access with genuine comfort: warm rooms, a kitchen that takes Svan cooking seriously, and staff who arrange guides, horses and luggage transfers between valley stages so that guests walk light. Shorter days are equally well served — the Chalaadi glacier, the Koruldi lakes, ridge walks with the twin summits of Ushba in view.
