Kazbegi Alpine Station
Stepantsminda sits at the foot of Mount Kazbek, the 5,054-metre volcano that closes the northern horizon, with the Gergeti Trinity church on its ridge between town and summit. The Alpine Station operates as a guided basecamp here: certified mountain guides, a gear room, and a programme that scales from half-day walks to the Gergeti glacier to multi-day routes through the Truso and Juta valleys. Acclimatisation, weather calls and route choice are handled with professional conservatism — the station's guides are local, and their judgement about this massif is the product of growing up under it. Evenings end with soup, bread and route maps spread across the long table.
This venue is available through certified itineraries. Travel professionals can request rates and availability via the partner programme.
