Kartli Natural Wine Collective
Kartli sits cooler and higher than Kakheti, and the young growers of this collective have made that difference their argument: fresher acidity, leaner structure, and grape varieties — Chinuri, Goruli Mtsvane, Tavkveri — that rarely travel beyond the region. The collective pools a shared cellar and a shared philosophy of low intervention: wild ferments, minimal sulphur, nothing fined or filtered. Visits typically move between two or three member vineyards before settling into the cellar for a comparative tasting, with the winemakers themselves pouring and arguing amiably about their choices. It is Georgian wine's younger generation at work, candid and worth hearing.
